Raleigh, NC:

The NC State Fair is returning October 11th-October 21! Come out to the largest event in NC where there will be live animals and performances, fair food, and rides. Visit their website for more info.


Artspace is hosting Art Happy Hour - Oaxacan Traditions - Colorful Animal Art on October 11th from 7:00-9:00 pm. You can paint small canvases with the bright colors and patterns of Oaxacan Alebrijes.

Cary, NC:
Food Truck Friday returns this Friday, October 12th from 4:00-8:00pm. It will be the concluding event of the first day of championship play at the SAS Championship at Prestonwood Country Club. There will also be live music and entertainment for kids.

Durham, NC:

Durham Parks and Recreation is hosting Fright Night on October 12th from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Forest Hills Park & Neighborhood Center. There will be carnival games for all ages, and a costume contest for kids. Admission to this event is canned food.


Holly Springs, NC:
Amazing Place Productions is presenting the first annual Holly Springs Haunted History Walking Tours. This haunted walking tour is family friendly for kids 10 and older. Actors will be dressed in costumes and will give a walking tour throughout downtown Holly Springs.

 

Wake Forest, NC:

October 13th is the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Tower 5K Run & Walk. This walk honors all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. It also supports first responders and military. Registration is required, but you are able to register the day of the race. You can register here!

Hillsborough, NC:

October 14th at 2:30 pm the Hillsborough Handmade Parade will take place on Churton & King St. in downtown Hillsborough. The theme this year is “Imaginary Menagerie”. It will begin at Town Hall and end at the Farmers Market Pavillion.
